Information we collect
When you join our mailing list, we collect your email address, signup timestamp, IP address, source label, and browser user agent. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, organization if provided, message, timestamp, and IP address.
How we use information
We use this information to respond to inquiries, send product updates, and protect the forms from spam or abuse.
Security checks
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help verify that form submissions are legitimate. Cloudflare may process limited technical data as part of that verification.
The website scanner
When you run the free accessibility scanner, the website address you enter is sent to our server, which fetches that page over the internet to analyze its HTML. To show a preview image of the page, the address is also sent to our screenshot provider, ApiFlash (opens in a new window), and, if that is unavailable, to Automattic's WordPress.com mShots service. Scan results are generated on demand and are not stored on our server.
If you enter your email with a scan, we collect your email address and record the scanned address, score, issue counts, detected platform, your IP address, and a timestamp, so we can email your results summary and follow up about accessibility help. These lead records are kept in a private file outside the public website, are accessible only to Startec Web Solutions, are never sold, and are retained for up to 24 months. To have your scanner lead record removed sooner, use the secure contact form.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site, such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data, including your approximate location and device information. We use this only to improve the site, and we do not sell it or combine it with the contact information you send us. You can learn how Google handles this data in the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new window), and you can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your contact information. We may share information only as needed to operate the site, comply with legal obligations, or protect the service from abuse.
